Looking at the resulting files, I saw no difference in quality. But I recently overclocked the CPU and installed updated Intel HD4600 graphics driver. Quote: When I first built this machine, I did some testing and decided to keep the ATI card. Intel i7 4770k, 16GB, GTX1060 3GB, Two 240GB SSD, 4TB HD, Sony HDR-TD20V 3D camcorder, Sony SLT-A65VK for still images, Windows 10 Pro, 64bit Just found this interesting and thought I would share. So for my specific needs, I may remove the ATI card. When using the HD4600 alone, GPU was at top speed and GPU load was constantly around 65-70%. It ran only at 300 or 600Mhz only and the GPU load never went over 30%. I also noticed that when using the ATI card alone, the GPU was never at its top speed of 1.2Ghz. So it would seem that PD13 has been better optimized for the Intel graphics chipset. HD 4600 and HD7870 both active - took 30minĪccording to GPUZ, HD4600 was utilized abt 56% and ATI card abt 10-15% Just did a new test.Ģ hour WTV file that was first converted to. When I first built this machine, I did some testing and decided to keep the ATI card. I bought PD for only one reason: transcoding Windows WTV to MP4 so I can stream wirelessly to smart TV.
